Claus started his career by studying Industrial Business Sales. After that he was educated as a pharmaceutical representative and started as a sales representative at Rayner Germany in 1994.

He continued his career as Sales Manager, Director of Sales, and eventually Director and Owner of Rayner Germany in 2012.

In 2016 he started a new company called IOLexpert to provide products for cataract and refractive surgery. At the same time he started his journey as a consultant for AcuFocus to launch their products in Europe.

In 2021 he began working for Medevise Consulting on the Samsara project, and recently started working on the Medevise Market Access team.

He likes sports cars, playing golf and walking with his Rhodesian Ridgeback Bayoola.
